The cold weather is coming but microwavable slippers are here to keep your toes toasty all winter long.

Oprah listed them as one of her favourite things back in 2019, with her brand of choice filling the lining of the slippers with dried millet seeds and french lavender that keep your feet cosy (and smelling delightful) for up to an hour after 60 seconds in the microwave.

They’re a little hard to get your hands on Down Under, but you can purchase them from Amazon Australia for $48 which includes international shipping.

However the real game changer for Aussie shoppers is this pair of microwavable slippers from Target which are priced at just $20.

They’re little booties rather than the slip-on design Oprah favours, and are filled with non-toxic silica beads, but they work the same way.

Simply zap them for 30 seconds and give them a shake to evenly distribute the heated beads, and you’re good to go.

These bad boys are also touted as being able to help relieve some aches and pains as applying heat to sore areas of the body can increase blood flow and help you to relax.

If you’re brave enough, you can also try putting the slippers in the freezer for two hours and using them to help with pain from bruising or swelling.

You can also get USB charged heated slippers or, for a truly exciting gadget, this $49 heated foot massager is like one giant slipper that keeps your feet warm and works on those knots at the same time.

Plus, you can unzip the slipper part and use the massage base against a chair to give you a back rub!
