Man's prank after mistakenly added to group chat hilariously backfires

A man’s prank after he was accidentally added to a WhatsApp group chat by strangers has hilariously backfired.

Billy Rawlinson was added to the conversation by a group of women organising a 50th birthday party for their friend Sandra.

The woman who added Mr Rawlinson mistakenly took him for a friend named Lorraine.

Mr Rawlinson decided to play along, and shared messages to the group chat on Twitter.

“I’m in,” Mr Rawlinson wrote after being invited to the party.

“OK great Lorraine,” one of the women responded.

Mr Rawlinson decided to then get a bit cheeky with the ladies, asking how many male strippers they were getting.

“Lol none I hope,” one replied.

Mr Rawlinson then decided to toy with the women further.

“Anyone able to sort any cocaine for it?” he wrote.

One of the women replied: “Are you serious?”

Mr Rawlinson then asked, “yes why not?”, before the prank took a turn for the worst.

“Because it’s illegal I’m a police officer as well,” one of the women responded.

Mr Rawlinson’s tweet has been retweeted more than 20,000 times and Sandra herself even replied.

“That’ll be me soon to be the big 50, what a lucky boy you was to be invited to the event of the year,” she said.

“Wow all these retweets hope you all get me a present.

“Anyway made us oldies chuckle all afternoon.”
