$11 M&M's spread everyone is going bonkers for in lockdown

To say we've been snacking more during lockdowns and self-isolation is probably an understatement, and you'd be completely forgiven for reaching for the more-occasional-comfort food given the current climate.

But one sweet snack has re-emerged a lockdown favourite, after Zoë Foster Blake shared her discovery of the popular M&M's chocolate spread on Instagram this week.

In her stories on Instagram, the author and mum posted a photo of the indulgent spread - that reportedly retails for around $10.75 (but can be even pricer online).

"I should not have bought this because now it's in our house. Where our mouths are," she joked.

"What has become of me. This is not food."

The chocolate spread is made using real M&Ms chocolates and pieces of crispy sugar shell are also included.

Sadly it's not readily available at every supermarket in Australia and you may have to do some searching to get your hands on a jar. So far it's been spotted at select IGAs and a few local convenience stores.

If you're desperate for a dose and are happy to pay international delivery fees you can also nab the M&M Spread from Amazon.

The spread has been making waves since it was first released back in 2018, and since then excited foodies have are regularly sharing their love for the item online.

"Where did you get this Heaven in a jar??" one person commented on a clip on TikTok.

"What's this magic," another person said.

While a third said: "Why am I just finding out about this now?!"
