Man and woman charged over two-year-old boy's death
A Sydney woman has been charged with murder after the death of a two-year-old boy.
The 26-year-old was arrested by police at a unit in North Parramatta on Wednesday, alongside a 34-year-old man who has been charged with concealing a serious indictable offence.
The toddler was unconscious when he arrived at Westmead Hospital about 9pm on August 3, 2018, and could not be revived by staff.
Police will allege the boy was injured at a home in Cabramatta, in the city’s southwest, before he was driven to the hospital.
His death has been treated as suspicious following a post-mortem examination on the toddler.
The pair are due to face Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
