A Queensland man driving home in the evening was shocked to come across a huge crocodile sitting in the middle of the road.

Justin Mills was driving home from work just north of Ingham in Far North Queensland when he spotted an unusual obstacle on the Bruce Highway on Tuesday night.

“Heading home from work last night and found this speed bump on the highway at the Seymour north of Ingham, with traffic control just down the road,” Mr Mills posted on Wednesday.

The 3.5 metre crocodile was crossing the highway in the dead of night.
