Man who kissed flight attendant before death explains CCTV

A man seen kissing a female flight attendant before she was found dead in a hotel bathtub after allegedly being raped by 11 men has given his side of the story.

Christine Angelica Dacera, who worked for Philippine Airlines, spent her final night celebrating the new year with friends at the City Garden Hotel in Makati, Philippines.

The 23-year-old was discovered the next morning in a hotel tub covered in bruises and cuts, including on her thighs and knees.

On New Year’s Eve she was captured on hotel security footage stumbling down a corridor with a male friend before they stopped at a lift.

The man depicted pressed the button to order the lift, before Ms Dacera leans in to kiss him multiple times.

Valentine Rosales, 23, is accused of being involved in her death, according to Filipino news outlet GMA News Online.

Mr Rosales is said to be the man in the video seen kissing her and he claims she initiated the kiss.

“I was trying to open the door. I rang the doorbell. She was the one who grabbed me,” he said.

“I rang the doorbell but I dodged, I sidestepped her.”

Three men were arrested but have since been released. Eleven others are yet to be found.

Of those three included Rommel Galido who had been out with Ms Dacera.

Mr Galido told the Philippine Star Ms Dacera said to him someone had spiked her drink.

Clark Rapinan, another of the trio, added at one stage he saw Ms Dacera vomiting into a toilet.

The three claim she died of medical causes.

The investigation continues.
