MAFS sexologist Alessandra Rampolla reveals banned act: 'Not condoned'

Cheating or 'couple swapping' has happened several times in previous seasons of Married At First Sight but according to expert, Alessandra Rampolla infidelity was seen as a big no-no on the upcoming season.

The Puerto Rican-born clinical sexologist told New Idea that even though being unfaithful is a part of 'human behaviour' instances of season nine brides and grooms cheating on their spouses was 'not condoned'.

"Inside or outside of the experiment, people who are married and are in committed relationships often cheat. It's for a variety of reasons... often it’s more to do with them than the actual relationship," Alessandra explained.

MAFS has been home to many explosive cheating scandals over the years, with season five contestants Dean Wells and Davina Rankin kicking it all off when they hooked up in 2018.

Next, it was Sam Ball and Ines Basic in 2019 and, more recently, Coco Stedman and Cam Dunne shared a secret kiss behind their respective partners' backs.

With a bombshell MAFS-first scandal on the cards for this year's 'social experiment,' fans are already eyeing up the fresh lineup of brides and grooms to determine who might be behind the drama.

Meanwhile, Alessandra also revealed that she dug deep into each participant's 'sexual history' in order to 'unpack' their boundaries in the bedroom.

When she joined the program in 2020, Alessandra introduced the infamously steamy 'Intimacy week' which is set to return with gusto this season.

Alessandra will be joined with relationship experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling to play matchmaker and guide the newlyweds through the rollercoaster experiment.

And judging by the first-look promo, this season is set to be even more chaotic than the last, with tears, tantrums, and even a commitment ceremony walkout all crammed into the two-minute trailer.

"I've never seen anything like this before," John admits as Alessandra and Mel look on aghast.
