Lucky man wins entire beachside apartment complex off $10 ticket
A Queensland man has become an instant multi-millionaire, claiming top prize in the RSL’s biggest ever Art Union prize home competition.
A $10 ticket resulted in the Boronia Heights man winning an entire apartment complex on the Gold Coast.
The complex boasts five luxury apartments plus a penthouse, worth a total of $5 million.
Called Rudland’s Reach, the fully-furnished property has views of Palm Beach, complemented by two Audi cars.
“Someone’s life has changed forever,” RSL Lotteries’ Tracey Bishop said.
The complex is named after Peter Rudland, a veteran, Paralympian and survivor of a Black Hawk crash in Afghanistan in 2010.
The winner will get the keys on Monday – a very special early Christmas gift.
More than $2 million in tickets were sold, with proceeds helping servicemen and women.
The next home to win is a $1.5 million apartment in Surfers Paradise where you can see both ends of the coast – and tickets are only $5.
