Hunt for mysterious winner of $20m OzLotto jackpot

The hunt is on for an Aussie who scooped the entire $20 million OzLotto jackpot after being the only division one winner.

The newest multi-millionaire won the eye-watering prize in draw 1429 on Tuesday night after their ticket held the numbers 42, 32, 21, 19, 44, 25, 33.

The Lott said on Wednesday morning the ticket had been purchased in Bendigo, in regional Victoria, from the Golden Square Newsagency.

People are urged to check their tickets as there is currently no way to contact the winner.

“It’s likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve just won $20 million," a spokesperson for The Lott said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased an Oz Lotto ticket from Golden Square Newsagency to check their tickets today."

In the draw, there were also seven division 2 winners, who all took home a prize of $41,786.35.

Lotto winner's screams scare husband

It comes after one of Melbourne’s newest millionaires was so excited to find out about her $1.45 million Lotto win, she scared her husband with her screams.

The woman from Werribee, southwest of Melbourne, had purchased a ticket in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw 4169 and was one of four winners to split the $5.82m jackpot.

The winner said she had been out to dinner and her husband had gone to bed when she remembered about the draw and checked her ticket on The Lott app.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw I’d won division one,” she told officials from The Lott on Monday.

“I screamed so loudly that my husband woke up and he came running down the stairs. He was so worried something was wrong, but I told him it was good news.”

Man discovers lotto win on coffee run

In May, another man discovered his $5 million OzLotto win when he checked his ticket while out on a coffee.

The lucky winner from Cranbourne, in Melbourne's southeast, was one of three division one holders.

He told The Lott he was in "complete shock" after finding out he was Australia's newest millionaire.

"I just walked into the newsagency to check my ticket as I was out getting a coffee," he said.

"The lady at the counter was looking at me funny and so I asked if something was wrong.

"She had this huge smile on her face and said: 'You've won division one! You're a multi-millionaire.'

"I dropped to the ground and started screaming. I couldn't stop shaking. It's insane."
