Pop singer Lorde has stunned fans with her dramatic transformation that she showed off at Glastonbury 2022.

The Royals singer debuted her new platinum blonde hair on the Pyramid stage, while wearing a lilac corset and red tights.

This is a big change for the singer, 25, who usually sports curly brunette hair. Lorde finished off her look with chunky accessories, dark eyebrows and sported a red ribbon on her arm for a pop of colour.

Fans went absolutely wild for her new look, saying the star looked ‘beautiful’ and she ‘slayed’.

“Blonde Lorde is everything I never knew I needed,” a fan wrote on social media.

“Lorde has gone blonde and she looks amazing,” another added.

“Honestly, we can’t wait for Lorde’s next email update. Like…why the hell is she blonde now? Is it her just being random or it has a purpose? The world needs to know,” a third asked.

A fan account on Instagram shared a photo showing both brunette and blonde versions of Lorde, with a caption saying: “A woman who can do both.”

“IT’S DO BOTH SEASON B**CHES,” Lorde commented on the post.

Lorde praised for political message

Lorde, born Ella Yelich-O’Connor, also made waves with her strong political message on stage. The singer condemned the US Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Roe v Wade, which means millions of women will no longer be able to access legal and safe abortions.

“Wanna hear a secret, girls? Your bodies are destined to be objectified since before you were born. That horror is your birthright. But here's another secret. You possess ancient strength, ancient wisdom, wisdom that has propelled every woman that came before you.

“That wisdom is also your birthright. I ask you today, make accessing that wisdom your life's work. Because everything depends on it."

Before launching into song, she added one more message: "F*ck the Supreme Court,” causing the crowd to cheer.

“God I love her,” a fan wrote.

“Gotta love a fiery Kiwi,” another chimed in.

“Loved how she turned her back after giving the tiny speech. A few words go a long way,” a third added.
