Ambitious seller attempts to auction unopened Little Shop collectable claiming it's rare

An ambitious eBay seller claims they have one of the rarest Cole Little Shop 2 collectables and is selling it unopened.

The seller, from South Australia, posted their item last week claiming it’s the rare golden trolley.

The rare miniature, of which Coles only releases 100 a week, comes with a bonus $100 store voucher.

However, this seller has listed what they claim to be the rare item still in its packaging.

“I have gone by feel, it is a large box and the trolley comes in a gold box,” the seller wrote.

Bidding for it starts at $150.

A golden trolley was listed last week with a $5000 price tag.

A Coles spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia last week the promotion is “as popular as ever.”

“We saw customers lining up outside stores last week waiting for them to open so they could get the popular Little Shop 2 merchandise as soon as they could,” they said.

The spokesperson added each golden trolley comes with a unique code and collectors case.

Coles has been strict on its handing out of Little Shop minis, which customers are entitled to receive one per every $30 they spend in store.

Several customers have complained about spending a few cents from the amount to not receive a miniature.
