Incredible 12-metre 'cave' hidden in real estate listing
Extra rooms in a house are always a bonus but one family in the US will end up the proud owners of a cave with handy access from the living room.
The three bedroom, two bathroom house in Pennsylvania is listed for $418,336 AUD ($297,000 USD), described as a"special" house on Zillow, an online real-estate marketplace.
"Oh yea, and I forgot to mention the actual cave in the basement!" the description reads. "Bring your ideas, or fascination with history and come see this unique home!"
According to the real estate agency, Century 21, the cave existed when the previous owners purchased the house and were reportedly connected to tunnels that ran under the town.
Natalia Latsios, the listing agent said when she first heard the house had a cave she didn't realise it would be as big as it is.
"I was picturing something way smaller," she said told Insider. "But this cave was almost 40 feet (12m) long."
Ms Latsios said the seller renovated the three-storey house with his late wife after they moved in in 1998, and they raised their four sons there.
Despite the previous owners searching for the original reason behind the cave, some locals say there are 'natural' caves that exist under several houses.

"Poorly used details in the living spaces, but it does offer a stunning underground torture chamber able to house multiple devices," joked another.
