Groom almost marries wrong bride after Google Maps fail

A groom almost married the wrong bride after following Google Maps and ending up at the wrong wedding where the real groom was running late.

The footage was taken in the province of Central Java on the Indonesian island of Java and was uploaded to social media on Monday April 5.

It was filmed at the wedding of the bride Maria Ulfa and groom Burkhan Sidki, however, the video shows the family and groom from a different wedding who have just discovered they have taken their places in the wrong venue, and are hurriedly leaving carrying their gifts in order to get to the proper wedding on time.

The family of a different groom reportedly intended to go to Losari Hamlet but ended up at the venue in the nearby Jengkol Hamlet where another wedding was also taking place.

Local sources said Burkhan was also running a little late so when the wrong groom arrived, who has not been named, they readily greeted him without realising anything was wrong as the bride was still getting ready.

However, a family member eventually realised the mix-up during a conversation with one of the guests at the party moments before the video was filmed as the family leaves the venue.

The lost entourage was reportedly guided in the right direction and their wedding went on as planned.
