Gold Coast primary school goes into lockdown after alleged threats


A Queensland primary school when into lockdown after alleged threats were made.

Police were called at 9.30am to Helensvale State School on Lindfield Road on the Gold Coast after the reported threats.

A message was sent to parents asking they do not enter the grounds as only police will have access, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

“I’ve got a young child there and I don’t know what’s going on,” one parent said.

The school was reopened in the afternoon and parents were allowed to pick up their children early.
