Gold Coast model's terrifying discovery after using toilet

An Australian woman made a horrifying discovery after going to the bathroom, leaving her – and many others online – absolutely mortified.

In a TikTok video that terrified both Australians and people overseas, Queensland model Gabriella had just flushed the toilet when she noticed something lurking under the seat.

"It's actually huge, I'm going to cry," she says in the video.

She is, of course, referring to a massive spider. The spider's legs are seen peaking out from under the toilet seat.

It then crawls out and under some toilet paper that is resting on the seat.

"Oh my god," she says, flipping the camera back to herself, looking utterly shocked.

"Welcome to Australia," she wrote in the caption of the video. She also admitted she doesn't know if she will be able to use that toilet again.

TikTok left mortified by spider video

In just a few hours, the video was viewed over 50,000 times and it's safe to say it genuinely terrified a lot of people.

Other Australians began chiming in and told their own tales of unwanted visitors in the bathroom. Some said they had frogs in their toilet in the past, while one person insinuated they once had a snake in theirs.

Someone said in the comments they had a spider in their toilet and when they flushed, it just came running back out.

A few people noted it was a huntsman and not a deadly spider. One person said it's the smaller spiders in Australia you need to be scared of.

"As someone watching this on the toilet, I did not appreciate this Tiktok," one viewer wrote in the comments.

However, one Australian weighed in and offered some comfort to anyone who was freaking out about going to the toilet.

"Australian here. Never happened to me in my whole life I’m sorry you went through that," they said.

"It’s his bathroom now."
