Erith: Met Police charge another man in connection with fatal shooting

Police investigating the death of a 24-year-old in Erith have charged another man as part of their investigation.

Kai Osibodu, 23, of Riverdale Road DA8, was arrested on Friday and charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

He is due to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court later on Saturday.

Police launched an investigation after Kai McGinley died after being shot on February 9.

As part of the investigation, four other people have been charged in connection with the shooting.

Enriko Spahiu, 20, of Elmhurst, Belvedere and Jalees Selby-Gangera, 18, of Woodfield Close, Erith, were charged with murder and attempted murder on March 9.

Connor Brooks, age 20, of Horsa Road, Erith and Bradlee Reeve, age 33, of Chapman Road, Erith were both charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder on March 11.

A plea hearing is scheduled for May 30 with a trial date of January 3, 2024 at the Old Bailey.

Previously, three other people were arrested as part of the investigation.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender along with a 53-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Both were released on bail.

A 17-year-old male was also arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder but was released.
