Employers post fewer seasonal job openings ahead of the holidays

BRIAN SOZZI: The economic slowdown has employers hiring cautiously this holiday season, according to new data out of Indeed. Employers posted 8.2% fewer holiday openings this year than last year, according to the job site. People are still searching for a new or a seasonal gig, though. Indeed says searches for seasonal jobs rose 33% year over year to their highest level since 2019.
