Driver accused of 'leaving friends to die' after devastating crash
WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT. A driver is accused of speeding, crashing, and leaving his mates to die, in a devastating crash in Greenacre, NSW.
Five people were hurt in the crash, including a woman who was thrown from the car on impact.
Footage from the scene shows a man who is injured and trapped desperately screaming for help.
Passersby attempted to break open the door to help while a woman next to them lay unconscious.
The real concern, however, was for 25-year-old Yasmin Elrich, who was unresponsive after being ejected from her car on impact.
Witness Lillian Anoun said: “Oh my god. It sounded like a bomb. It was like ‘bang, bang, bang’.”
Police are reviewing vision that shows one of the cars involved in the moments before the crash.

It’s alleged the driver fled the scene, leaving the injured to fend for themselves.
“This car sounded like a bullet, it was whizzing down the street so fast,” Ms Anoun said.
Residents have told 7 News that the intersection is notorious for accidents and that something needs to be done to prevent any more from occurring.
Police are yet to lay any charges but will interview both drivers when they are well enough.
On Friday night, two of those involved were still fighting for life while three remained stable.
