- Here are some quick facts you probably didn't know about crocodiles. In the '70s, crocodiles were almost shot to extinction in Australia. Saltwater crocodiles can live between 40 to 100 years old.
1,000 people are estimated to be killed by crocodiles every year. The luxury brand Hermes controversially uses crocodile skin to make their accessories, including their famous Kelly bag.
