'He's got to save himself': Ominous moment on Bride and Prejudice before star's sudden death
Ominous scenes from the latest season of Bride and Prejudice have resurfaced after the sudden death of one of the reality show’s stars this week.
His cause of death is unknown, but in scenes that originally aired on November 11, 2019, before being shared again by the Daily Mail on Wednesday, Milly’s mother Catherine Johnson said Micah ‘couldn’t be saved’.
“You know you're not his saviour. You're not going to save him. He's got to save himself,” Catherine said.
“And you can't marry someone because you feel sorry for them. He needs to prove himself and he hasn't.”
The footage, believed to have been filmed in May 2019, was shot shortly after Milly called off her wedding to Micah, who did not want to go to rehab despite his drug use.
Micah and Milly’s mother clashed often on the show, with Catherine describing Micah’s recreational drug use as an ‘addiction’.
Milly took to Instagram to share the tragic news on Tuesday.
“On the 28 December 2019 Micah Patrick Downey passed away,” she wrote.
“I am struggling to put into words how sad & heartbreaking this is. I just hope he is at peace wherever he is & that he will always be watching over his babies. A bad, bad dream.
“I can’t believe you’re not here. Rest In Peace Micah.”
Channel Seven has also removed all three seasons of Bride and Prejudice Australia from 7plus, and has taken down the show's homepage, the Daily Mail reports.
In a statement the Network said the team was “devastated by the news”.
“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time,” it read.
