Brentford fixtures for Championship 2020-21 season: Full match schedule with dates

Brentford will begin their latest Championship campaign away at Birmingham after the fixtures for the 2020-21 season were confirmed on Friday morning.

Huddersfield Town are the first visitors to the Brentford Community Stadium on September 19.

The Bees won't have to wait long for their first London derby, with a trip to the Den to face Millwall scheduled for September 29. Rivalries are renewed with QPR on November 28, the reverse away fixture set for February 17.

It's a trip to Cardiff for Brentford on Boxing Day, before the season concludes away at Bristol City.

The Bees are gearing up for another year in English football's second tier after coming agonisingly close to sealing a first top-flight season for 73 years in their final campaign at Griffin Park in 2019-20 only to lose to Fulham in the play-off final.

Question marks remain over the futures of several of the club's key stars - including attacking duo Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma - ahead of their move to the brand new 17,250-seater home, though recruitment plans are starting to take shape following the addition of Northampton captain Charlie Goode.

Brentford don't have long to dwell on that play-off heartache as the new season follows hot on the heels of the last, with league matches coming thick and fast once more, along with the altered Carabao Cup schedule.
