Brave cat gets revenge on unruly boy after being attacked and thrown in bush

A cat got revenge on a five-year-old boy who was caught on CCTV kicking and punching the pet before throwing it into a bush.

The unnamed boy, who is wearing a ‘here comes trouble T-shirt’, will not face any action because of his age.

In the video, the boy kicked and punched pet cat Sky multiple times outside its owner Neil Fisher’s home in Manchester.

He attacked the pet for about eight minutes and even dragged her by the tail and dumped her into a bush.

Eventually Sky hit back, and scratched him.

Sky was fortunate to avoid injury - but Mr Fisher now says that he had the door slammed in his face when he headed to the boy’s home to confront his parents.

He also contacted Greater Manchester Police, but was told that they would not take action because the boy was under the age of criminal responsibility.

The 35-year old pet owner said: ‘It makes me so angry that anyone, even a child, thinks it’s OK to treat an animal like this. It doesn’t say a great deal for their upbringing.

"It came to my attention because I could hear the cat wailing and crying and I thought 'there’s no reason for her to be doing that.'"

"I was getting ready to go out and then I came round the corner and this little boy was running away.

"I checked the CCTV straight away and was just disgusted at what I saw. It happened right outside my front door."

Neil also said that the age of the young boy was ‘disturbing’, and believes that Sky first came into contact with him because of her friendly demeanour.

"She’s too trusting of people and that’s what annoys me the most," Mr Fisher said.

"She probably thought he going to give her a stroke and play with her, not attack her.

Mr Fisher said Sky only goes out the front for a couple of hours a week and most of the time it is in an enclosed back garden

"My girlfriend thinks of Sky as her little baby and she was in tears," he said.

The concerned pet owner has reported the attack to the RSPCA - who say that parents have a vested responsibility to teach their children about compassion towards animals.

"The RSPCA’s ambition is for a world in which all people respect and live in harmony with animals," a spokesperson said.

Therefore, as an organisation, we encourage everyone - no matter their age - to treat animals with compassion and kindness."
