Baby meerkat returns to Perth Zoo after being stolen


A baby meerkat has been found safe and sound after being stolen from Perth Zoo

The little meerkat was reported missing on Thursday, with zookeepers unsure if the pup had been stolen or eaten by a bird.

WA Police found the meerkat at a home in Beverley, 130km southeast of Perth, on Friday about 6pm.

A man and a woman are currently assisting police with enquiries, police said.

The four-week-old pup has returned to the zoo and undergone treatment from a vet.
