Police have located a five-year-old girl after issuing an amber alert.
Queensland Police said the girl was taken from a rural town on Wednesday afternoon but was found about 7pm (local time).
It was believed the young girl went missing from Malakoff Street, Biloela, 130km south of Rockhampton, about 3pm.
Police believed she could have been at serious risk.
Earlier police said they had information that a 24-year-old woman, not known to the child, may have taken her.
Police found the child safe after a member of the public alerted police after seeing the amber alert.
A 24-year-old woman is currently assisting police with their investigations.
