Australian Defence Force personnel accused of hundreds of sex crimes

The Australian Defence Force is reportedly facing shocking claims that its members have been involved in dozens of alleged sex crimes over the past year.

More than 200 sexual misconduct allegations have been levelled against members of the defence force in the past 12 months, The Herald Sun reports.

Revenge porn and drink spiking are just some of the alleged sex crimes that personnel reported over a six-month period, News Corp reported.

One member is accused of sending explicit pictures to a 13-year-old on Snapchat, who sent similar photos back, while another member is accused of spiking a colleague’s drink before sexually assaulting them.

Concerning allegations were also levelled against a member of the defence force posted to Iraq, who is accused of showing pornographic images to a local and then indecently assaulting them.

The Australian Defence Force released a statement saying this type of unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.
