Police stepping up patrols along walking path after attacks
Police are stepping up patrols along a popular walking path in Sydney's inner west as they continue their hunt for a serial pervert.
Investigators suspect the same man is behind three recent attacks at Bay Run and believe he may be preying on female walkers and joggers on the looped track.
"That's a bit of a worry actually, usually I come down with company, it's rare that I come down on my own," one frequent walker told 7 News.
Despite the area being described as "very energetic" and "family orientated", there are said to be some darker spots to the popular route.
The first of the incidents, which police believe are connected, occurred on January 31 along Glover Street at Lilyfield where a man exposed himself to a woman before she contacted police.
Two days later a woman was approached at the nearby Leichhardt Rowing Club before she was intimidated by a man of a similar description.
Then on Saturday night a man told police he had been approached at the Glover Street sports ground by a woman who revealed she'd just been indecently assaulted while walking.
She then left the scene and it seems never reported the incident to police.
Officers are asking her or anyone else who might have any information to come forward.
The offender is described as being Caucasian, in his 20s and around 1.8 metres tall with prominent front teeth and a tattoo on his shoulder.
