The 'world's most expensive' bottle of vodka stolen from bar has been found - empty
The world’s most expensive bottle of vodka stolen from a bar in Copenhagen has since been found – empty.
The $1.7 million spirit was said to have been stolen from a collection at the Cafe 33 bar in the trendy area of Vesterbro.
The bottle contained a Russo Baltique vodka, said to be the only one of its kind in the world, the cafe owner Brian Ingberg told local media.
It was apparently on loan from a Russian businessman and uninsured.
And it’s not just the liquor that was expensive.

Its high value is due in part to the three kilograms of gold and the same amount of silver used to make the bottle, reported The Local.
Just to add to the expensive touches, it is also adorned with leather from a 1912 Monte Carlo rally car, said reports.
“I had loaned [the bottle] from Russia from something called the Dartz Factory, which makes the world’s most expensive cars and vodka. It has been part of my collection for six months, but not anymore,” Ingberg told TV2 Lorry.
“I am obviously very upset. It was the icing on the cake in my collection.
“Of the 1,200 bottles I have, this was a very special bottle to have there,” Ingberg added.
The theft was reported to Copenhagen Police before the empty bottle turned up undamaged at a building site.
"We still have the same vodka that was in the bottle before, so we we'll just fill it again," Ingberg said.
Security camera footage posted on the vodka collection’s Facebook page shows two masked men wearing baseball caps stealing the vodka, according to Ingberg.
Ingberg is said to have more than 1200 vodka bottles in his bar.
