Grandma 'fixes' granddaughter's ripped jeans without realising the holes are deliberate
Whether it be years of care and affection or that extra pocket money on the side, most people hold a special place in their hearts for their grandmother.
But one Japanese granny has taken her nurturing a step too far after unwittingly interfering with her granddaughter's fashion sense.
Twitter user Tomomi took to social media on December 9 to share the hilarious yet adorable moment her grandma stitched up a hole in a pair of her jeans not realising it was an intentional rip.
"When I returned to Grandma, my damaged jeans were sewn. I cannot stop laughing," she wrote in Japanese.
As well as sewing together the broken strands inbetween the tear, she had also stitched in a patch behind to cover the hole.
The post was quickly inundated with comments gushing over the grandmother's kind-hearted gesture and some even suggested she had created a new trend.
Tomomi's tweet soon went viral with over 230,000 likes and has more than 70,000 retweets to date.
