Gran shocked to discover what her Christmas decorations really are
A grandmother got more than she bargained for following a recent shopping trip for Christmas decorations.
Granddaughter Alex Bermingham, from Cork, Ireland, took to social media to reveal how her unwitting nan made a bizarre purchase while buying baubles for her Christmas tree.
Instead of conventional baubles, the 74-year-old had picked up a pack of decorations stuffed with sparkly purple underwear inside.
"My 74 year old grandmother bought Christmas baubles in Dunnes Stores," Ms Bermingham wrote on Twitter.
"I have just realised upon decorating her tree that unbeknownst to her upon purchase, they are in fact, lavender glitter G-strings."
The post, retweeted over 20,000 times, was quickly inundated with comments from other users revealing their amusement at the innocent mistake.
