WATCH: Ram raid thieves smash into Canberra shopping centre to steal ATM

Police have released dramatic video of a ram raid at a Canberra shopping centre, where thieves stole an ATM.

A silver Toyota Landcruiser was used to smash through the doors of Casey Market Town at 5am on Sunday.

The gang then used the vehicle to knock over and steal the cash machine.

Police found both the vehicle and ATM burnt out, but the cash was gone.

ACT Police are searching for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the burglary.

The vehicle used in the robbery had ACT registration plates YIC87E.

Police say the Landcruiser ran a light in Canberra's CBD on Saturday night, in the hours before the ram raid.
