Family of toddler killed in hit-and-run attack alleged driver outside court
There were hostile scenes outside an Adelaide Court when the family of a toddler killed in an alleged hit-and-run came face-to-face with the man accused of the crime.
Tensions boiled over as Zayne Colson's family confronted his alleged killer Michael Bullock.
The family had been enraged when he pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Members of Zayne's family unleashed expletive-laden rants at Bullock as he left court before driving off in a taxi.
One woman could be heard shouting: "you owe my f****** niece an apology... not guilty, you f****** piece of s***."
Another woman appeared to spit on the taxi window after slamming her fists against the rear window.
The 52-year-old is accused of fleeing the scene after knocking down two-year-old Zane Colson outside his Dover Gardens home in February.
Zayne's family are furious his death by dangerous driving charge has been downgraded to driving without due care.
On Tuesday he pleaded not guilty to that charge along with leaving the scene of an accident after causing death and failing to present to police.
Zayne's family say Bullock has shown no remorse and has refused to apologise for what happened to their loved one.
He will face trial in the District Court in February.
