Conspiracy theorists claim actor is filling in for Melania Trump

Conspiracy theorists have analysed footage of Melania Trump, claiming she had a body double "stand in" for her during President Donald Trump's speech.

On Friday, the President was addressing the media about hurricane relief for Puerto Rico with his wife by his side.

“My wife, Melania, who happens to be right here,” he said.

But some questioned the first lady's appearance, suggesting her nose was a different shape and face was narrower.

Melania was wearing a trench coat and her face was masked with large sunglasses during her husband's speech.

"Will the real Melania please stand up?" comedian Andrea Wagner Barton wrote on Facebook.

"Is it me or during his speech today a decoy 'stood in' for Melania?"

Her post quickly gained traction and had been shared more than 97,000 times.
