Monitor shows ‘ghost baby’ sleeping beside toddler in his cot

A British couple are spooked by baby monitor footage that appears to show a “ghost baby” taking a nap beside their sleeping infant in his cot.

Laura Haigh has told how she saw a spirit-like figure appearing to wave objects about her 18-month-old Sebastian’s room and snuggle up next to him.

The mother-of-four from Devon, in southwest England, said when she and her partner Dean Evans checked the video monitor, they were shocked to see what looked like a second figure lying next to their sleeping toddler.

Mr Evans told The Sun he raced upstairs, expecting to find his son cuddled up next to a teddy bear, but found the little boy sleeping in an empty cot, while the unexplained shape remained on the monitor.

He said the ghostly shape even moved positions during the four hours it remained beside Sebastian as he napped, with the video time-stamped at 9.21 on June 8.

“[Dean] was a little bit gobsmacked that there was nothing there, but it was still appearing on the monitor,” Ms Haigh said.

“He was a bit spooked as he doesn’t believe in that kind of thing and just can’t explain it," she said, adding she checked the camera and found nothing wrong with it.

“Friends think it’s really creepy," the mother said about the puny poltergeist that stayed on the monitor and "moved positions" but left at feeding time.

The open-minded mother said the potential paranormal experience hasn’t bothered her too much, because Sebastian didn’t seem upset by the visitor.

The woman said she often heard random noises throughout the house, noticed things disappearing, and sometimes finds pictures on the wall turned upside down or fallen over.

“We see orbs all the time and I have spotted on shadows in the background of photos in the past,” she said.
