‘I got his head!’: Teen wrangles massive python from under car

In what is sure to be the most Australian video you’ll watch this week, a 14-year-old boy has wrangled a massive carpet python from underneath the family ute before heading off to school.

Watched on by his proud dad, Oli Wardrope slid underneath the family car, completely unfazed by the enormous snake that had wrapped itself around the undercarriage.

Using nothing but his hands and with nowhere to escape if things went wrong, the Queensland boy grabbed the two-metre python.

“I got his head, I got his head, I got his head,” he told those watching on.

In an instant, the teenager had his hand around the head of the unwanted interloper, rolling out from under the car, greeted by beaming grins from his dad, Chazza, and another man waiting with a bag.

“F*****g hell lad, that’s a big snake,” the bag-holder said as the young snake whisperer lowered in his new mate.

With the Toyota Cruiser now reptile free, Oli received the ultimate reward – a firm handshake from his old man.

"That's my boy, been wrangling since he was five," Chazza wrote on the video.

"Just a morning before school for him lol."

"What a little unit," another commented.
