Bomb squad detonate 'homemade bomb' found along with drugs in 4WD

The bomb squad had to detonate an explosive device that was found inside a 4WD along with drugs in Victoria.

A woman in her 20s was pulled over by police at 4.30pm at the Noble Park intersection of Princes Highway and Ambrie Crescent.

Inside her vehicle, officers discovered a homemade bomb and a quantity of drugs and the area was cordoned off.

According to reports, the device was detonated inside a bunker and two pops were heard from the area.

The bomb response unit are to dispose of the device.

The female driver is being interviewed by police.
