Men armed with crow bars, baseball bats start wild brawl in carpark of Rockdale gym
Police are investigating a wild brawl at Rockdale on Tuesday night that involved up to a dozen men, some wielding makeshift weapons, in the car park of a fitness centre.
Two groups of men faced off in the car park on West Botany Street about 9pm, throwing punches and swinging metal bars and baseball bats.
Shocking video shows the violent fight that left at least one man injured, hospitalised with head wounds.
Shouting and swearing can be heard, along with the loud clanging of metal, as the men trade blows.
One witness described the scene as “crazy”.
“Yes a few of them had weapons, I dunno where they came from, out of their cars or something but yeah it was crazy, to escalate from yelling and screaming to guys having bats and all kinds of stuff," Sean Richardson told 7 News.
Police are yet to lay charges, although they have seized a bat and a crowbar as part of their investigations.
An injured 32-year-old man has since been discharged from hospital.
