Teen, 13, killed after slamming moped into truck loaded with a shipping container
A 13-year-old boy has been killed in Sydney after he slammed his moped into a parked semi-trailer on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to Tyrone Place in Erskine Park where they found the deceased teenager had crashed into a truck loaded with a shipping container.
He suffered fatal head injuries and a crime scene has been established while police conduct a full investigation and officers are preparing a report for the coroner.
It was reported the truck driver attempted to help the teen who was not wearing a helmet.
A 16-year-old boy stayed back to assist police with an investigation and a 17-year-old allegedly fled the scene in a panic.
