The crash killed Dago’s friend in the passenger seat, 22-year old Irina Reinoso. Dago allegedly ran a red light and slammed into a pick-up truck.

The Miami local sent her boyfriend 60 angry text messages before the crash, which took place on August 14 last year.

“I’m done you ruined me” she texted. “You’ll be the death of me.”

Earlier that evening, Dago and Reinose had gone nightclubbing together. They had only known each other for two weeks.

Dago, who was reportedly twice the legal alcohol limit when tested, was unhurt in the crash.
Dago pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter, vehicular homicide and two counts of DUI with damage to a person, NBC Miami reported.

Reinoso’s family told local media they were devastated at the loss of a young woman who planned to enter law enforcement.

“She was very family oriented, had an incredible heart and always had a smile on her face,” her mother, Ivania Reinoso, said.
