One dead after bus rollover at Victoria's Great Ocean Road
One person has died after a bus crash on the Great Ocean Road at Apollo Bay this evening, following heavy rain and storms across the state.
The bus was carrying 23 people and towing a trailer, when it left the road just after 5pm and rolled, police said.
One of two people trapped underneath died at the scene.
The second person, a woman, was freed and treated by paramedics before being flown to a Melbourne hospital in a serious but stable condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson told 7 News Online.
Nine others, including the driver, are being assessed for minor injuries.
Five children on board were not physically injured.
The exact cause of the crash is being investigated.
