Brush fences set on fire in Adelaide

An arsonist has set alight a series of brush fences at Mile End in Adelaide this morning.

Police and fire crews responded to reports of two fences on fire in Gladstone Rd at about 6.15am.


One of the fires burnt about four metres of fence and spread to a cubby house and chook pen.

Police said the chickens escaped unharmed.

Another fence on Charlesworth Court at Mile End was also damaged by a deliberately lit fire.

Police have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area this morning to contact Crime Stoppers.
