Woman's body washes up on popular Queensland beach
An elderly woman’s body has washed ashore at a Queensland beach.
A member of the public found the 90-year-old local woman just before 7am on Thursday at Torquay Beach in Hervey Bay.
A Queensland Police media spokeswoman told 7 News Online that the woman had been identified but her death was not being treated as suspicious.
“Her family are in the process of being notified but [her death] is not being treated as suspicious," the police spokeswoman said
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
