Man dead after car slams into wall, bursts into flames

Video has emerged of a car engulfed in fire and spitting flames just hours after a man died when his car crashed, hit a wall and caught alight in Sydney's west.

The accident happened at around 2.30am on Monday at the Third Avenue and Sunnyholt Road intersection in Blacktown.

The man, aged 50, died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries.

Police have set up a crime scene to determine whether any foul play was involved.

Meanwhile, about four hours earlier in NSW's central west, a man died and another was injured when the car they were in crashed off the Newell Highway near Parkes, hitting a tree and catching fire.

The injured man was taken to Orange Base Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Reports will be prepared for the coroner.
