Man dies in Queensland paragliding accident

A 35-year-old man has died after being involved in a paragliding accident in Queensland.

Authorities say the man was around 20 metres in the air when his parachute collapsed.

It's reported the male received 20 minutes of CPR before passing away on Sunday morning.

Queensland Police confirmed to Yahoo7 they are currently attending an incident and that the forensic crash unit are on scene, they were called at 9.45am.

The incident occurred on Neurum Road, Mt Archer, east of Kilcoy.

It's understood the deceased was an experienced paraglider.

Paramedics and a Careflight doctor tried to revive the man, but his head injuries were too severe.

It's believed the victim had done the popular jump several times before.

The investigation continues.
