Driver runs over mechanic in Haifa garage
Footage has emerged of the moment a car drove over a mechanic at a garage in Haifa, Israel.
The mechanic was standing at the end of a workshop ramp when a driver attempted to maneuver his vehicle onto the ramp.
As the car nears the end of the ramp, instead of stopping, the driver appears to accelerate, launching the car over the edge and into the mechanic.
The video of the incident, which is said to have happened at a garage on Histadrut Street, was posted on the Liveleak website.
It reports the mechanic was brought to Ramdam Hospital with serious internal injuries.
"He has been hospitalised in intensive care in serious condition after sustaining severe internal injuries - liver, among other things," a hospital source is quoted as saying.
“He also suffered a hip fracture.”
