Prominent jockey seriously injured in jumps fall
An Adelaide jockey is in hospital after a fall during a jumps trial earlier today.
Thoroughbred Racing SA has confirmed that Amy Hermann was injured while riding at Morphettville just before midday.
“Amy was riding Urania Belle in a field of five when she was dislodged when her mount stumbled and fell after jumping the final hurdle,” TRSA said in a statement.
The prominent jockey, 27, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in an ambulance after being treated at the scene.
She was reported to be in a serious but stable condition shortly after the incident.
