Australia v India: third Test, Day three in Melbourne as it happened

India's Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane dominated day three with some excellent batting to keep India alive in the third Test at the MCG.

India lost overnight batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara (25) and Murali Vijay (68) early before Kohli (169) and Ajinkya Rahane settled in to form a 262-run partnership.

Kohli was dismissed on the last ball of the day as India finished at 8 for 462 at stumps.
