WA police liaison officer charged

A senior Aboriginal police liaison officer in Western Australia has been stood down from all duties and charged after he allegedly unlawfully used a computer.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2012 and 2013.

The man, 58, has been charged with three counts of unlawful use of a computer, one count of unlawful use of a computer with intent to benefit and one count of fraudulent falsification of records.

The officer will appear before the Laverton Magistrates Court later on Wednesday.
