Son 'murders father before sharing selfies on Facebook'
A man has murdered and mutilated his 61-year-old father before posting selfies on Facebook, prosecutors say.
Carlton Edmondson, 26, from Chicago in the US was arrested on Saturday and charged with first-degree murder.
His father, Carl Edmondson, was found dismembered when officers went to conduct a welfare check, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Officers said he had severe, blunt-force trauma to the head and a range of other injuries, including deep lacerations.
After the alleged murder, Edmondson posted a number of selfies to Facebook, including one appearing to show a body.

One had the caption: “Yo bAudie is mA party #babhyhh.” The images have since been removed.
A judge ordered Edmondson be taken to a hospital to undergo a medical evaluation.
