WATCH: Mark Zuckerberg shares video of moment he got into Harvard University

Mark Zuckerberg has shared a home video of the moment he found out he was accepted into Harvard University, years before he founded Facebook.

He posted the video on Thursday writing: "My dad took this video when I got accepted to Harvard. Next week I'm going back for commencement to get my degree".

The adorable video has since gone viral with over 3.8 million views.

In the footage the much younger Zuckerberg can be seen sitting in front of his computer while scrolling through his emails.

"Yay, I got accepted," he can be heard saying.

“Are you serious?!” his father can be heard in the footage.

“Alright, yes, great!” his delighted father then screams.

Mark appears thrilled with the news and possibly even a little stunned as he continues to sit in front of his computer.

“We are now focusing on the newest, or one of the newest members of Harvard’s class of 2006,” his dad continues while Mark laughs.

Ironically the Facebook founder never actually went on to graduate, dropping out shortly before he was due to finish to concentrate his efforts on the social media game changer.

Facebook boasts now more than 1 billion active users and Mark is worth an estimated $58.6 billion, making him one of the richest people in the world.
