'He kissed me': Terminally ill woman gets dying wish to meet hero Beau Ryan

A woman fighting terminal cancer says she "feels very special" after meeting her hero, Beau Ryan, who rushed to her bedside in hospital after an urgent Facebook plea.

Kia Lettice, 22, from Narrabri in New South Wales told the Daily Mail the former NRL star left a dinner at his parent's house in Shellharbour and make the two hour journey to visit her.

"I feel very special, especially because I love Beau Ryan," Ms Lettice said.

"And he kissed me too," she added.

Her father Noel said it was the happiest he had seen his daughter in months.

"It was great to see that smile on her face - it really sparked her up. I haven't seen her smile like that in a month," Mr Lettice.

Ms Lettice has ovarian cancer and a spokeswoman for Sydney's Prince of Wales Hospital said her condition is palliative.

On Tuesday her childhood-friend Mahalia Murphy said in a post on Facebook that Ms Lettice may have just hours left to live and asked for help to make her friend's one wish to come true.

"Any assistance to boost my friend up?” Ms Murphy, an Australian rugby sevens player, wrote.

"She wants Greg Inglis or Beau Ryan to come see her. If everyone can share this or get in contact for me this would be much appreciated."

In less than one hour, Ryan replied to the post to say he was on his way and asked his fan to “stay strong”.

"Leaving Shellharbour now! See you in two hours. Tell her to stay strong," Ryan wrote.

Two hours later, he arrived and posed for multiple photos with Ms Lettice, her husband and friends.

In one photo, the former Sharks player held Ms Lettice's hand as he kissed on her forehead.

Ms Murphy later posted to Facebook: "Thanks to everyone for making this special moment happen. Beau Ryan you are a true legend man. Can't thank you enough for this moment."

"The energy she gained from his presence was amazing! Beau Ryan is a legend. After 4 hours notice he made it!!!" she wrote in another post.
